Mercury
A highly toxic metal, it is found in tooth fillings and vaccinations. It is
known to cause tissue damage in humans and been linked to Multiple Sclerosis.
Mercury (or amalgam) fillings are known to leak when we eat and drink and cause
gum disease and in some cases chronic fatigue & loss of co-ordination. Many
dentists in Britain are happy to replace mercury fillings with white (or composite)
ones but it is important to make sure the removal process follows the strict
guidelines as a hazardous amount of mercury can be released if the job is not
done properly. Austria & Sweden have a total ban on mercury fillings and
in Germany they carry a health warning. In vaccinations, mercury is the major
component in thiomersal, a preservative, which is known to damage the immune
system and digestive tract. It is also thought to impair the brain of young
children and a growing number of scientists believe its responsible for
producing effects similar to autism.
