Our productsWe are passionate about making natural products accessible & affordable so we spend a long time researching everything we sell. We have the pleasure of testing all the products ourselves, in order to carry a range of goods we can be proud of.
We also believe that the manufacture and consumption of goods should have no hidden cost. In this way, we would never willingly sell any product that –
- contain ingredients of animal origin
- has caused suffering to animals or polluted the land or the sea
- has been produced by a company without environmental principles
- comes from a factory that uses child labour or has poor working conditions & low pay
- contains any of the harmful chemicals and toxins contained in the Toxic Enemies list
So before a product makes it onto our shelves we extensively research the manufacturing process, check all the ingredients and examine the background of the companies we deal with.
We also strive to support the local economy and source our products as close to home as possible. As well as supporting local manufacturers, this means we are able to keep the use of heavy goods vehicles and fuel emissions to a minimum. A small number of our products come from overseas but we have chosen them for their high quality and because they do not have a manufacturer in the UK at present.
If you’re wondering why natural products cost a bit more, it’s because they are made by small, independent companies that invest a lot of time and money into the quality and research of their products. However, as the consumption of eco & natural products goes up, the cost will come down and green shopping will no longer be seen as a luxury.
